Refrigeration Hydrocarbon Gas Detector

PEEL GAS DETECTOR MODEL NO. O4-O2-12V

Suited for

Refrigerant Hydrocarbon Gas Safety

Hydrocarbon refrigerants are the ideal direct replacements for CFC and other fluorocarbon refrigerants. Hydrocarbon refrigerant is safe for both refrigeration and air conditioning use. However, like petrol, combustible gases, and other commonly used volatile products, hydrocarbon refrigerant is highly flammable.  To work safely with hydrocarbon refrigerants, compliance with current safety standards and regulations must be adhered to.  Refrigerant Hydrocarbon is predominantly made up of Propane and Butane, similar to Automotive LPG.

Installing a Peel Propane Gas Detector for Safety, Regulation, Insurance and ‘peace of mind’, provides a safe environment where Refrigerant Hydrocarbon Gas is being used in refrigeration rooms or on trucks or any refrigerant system where hydrocarbons are used.

The Peel Gas Detector

Model No. O4-O2-12V.

(Single Sensor Units and other variations are also available. Contact for further information.)

This system has been designed around Marine use and regulation, hence, rugged and reliable.  The unit detects an LPG (Propane/Butane/Hydrocarbon) leak and alarms visually and audibly.  The unit detects and alarms at 25%LEL (Lower Explosive Limit) of Propane.  The unit has 2 x remote sensors for different locations for sensing.  Also, the unit has the provision to shutdown (via included solenoid) the Gas flow in the event of an alarm.  The system can also be wired to ‘trigger’ external alarms, blowers or strobe lights.
